RGT Rating
The Allegro Mini is the ultimate "no-fuss" upgrade. If you hate having a dongle dangling from your phone while you game or walk, this is for you. It turns your device into a high-res player without adding any bulk, making it a "stealth" powerhouse .
Technical Performance: 3.5/5
While it doesn't have the raw driving power of its bigger brother, it is exceptionally clean. It has a very low noise floor, meaning you won't hear that annoying "hiss" during quiet moments in games or acoustic tracks. It’s specifically optimized for IEMs rather than power-hungry over-ear headphones.
Sound Signature: Neutral, Transparent
The Allegro Mini is designed to be "invisible" in your signal chain. It doesn't boost the bass or sharpen the treble artificially; it just provides a cleaner, more detailed version of what's already there. Paired with the warm-leaning Cadenza, it helps keep the mid-range clear and the bass tight.
Design & Portability: 5/5
This is where it wins. The all-aluminum build is tough, and the direct-plug design means there’s no cable to fray or break. It even has a small "step" at the USB-C connector so it can fit even if you have a thick phone case on.
Versatility: 4/5
Having a 4.4mm balanced port on a device this small is rare and very welcome. It allows you to use your higher-end balanced cables without needing a massive desktop setup.
Potential Drawbacks:
Because it plugs directly in, it can block adjacent ports on some laptops (like MacBooks with tight USB-C spacing). Also, it lacks physical volume buttons, so you’ll need to adjust volume via your source device.
