RGT Rating
The Belle is what happens when you take the "safe" budget tuning of 2024 and inject it with a dose of high-rigidity technicality. While the Cadenza II is a refined professional tool, the Belle is a fun-first, bass-forward daily driver that doesn’t sacrifice the core Kiwi Ears midrange "soul."
Imaging and Soundstage: 3.5/5
The soundstage is more intimate than the Cadenza II. It’s less about a wide "labyrinth" and more about a focused, energetic "club" feel. For gaming, it provides solid left-right panning for footsteps, but it can feel a bit crowded during heavy explosions or busy EDM tracks due to the thicker low-end.
Sound Signature: Warm V-Shape / "Lively-Balanced"
This is a more aggressive V-shape than we usually see from Kiwi Ears. It’s built for impact and energy rather than clinical monitoring.
- Bass: The DLC driver delivers a "tactile" punch. It’s deeper and more authoritative than the Cadenza II, making it a dream for hip-hop and electronic music
- Mids: Classic Kiwi Ears—warm and slightly forward. Male vocals carry a lot of weight, though there is a tiny bit of "warmth bleed" from the mid-bass that colors the lower mids.
- Treble: Relaxed and safe. The 3kHz pinna peak gives vocals "bite" so they don't get lost in the bass, but the upper treble is rolled off to prevent fatigue. It’s smooth, not sparkly.
Comfort: 4.5/5
The shells are noticeably compact. If you have smaller ears or found previous Kiwi Ears models a bit bulky, the Belle is a relief. The lightweight resin disappears in the ear, making it perfect for sleeping or long commutes.
Versatility: 4/5
It’s a "Master of Pop." It makes modern recordings sound thick and exciting. However, it’s less ideal for classical or analytical listening where you need maximum air and treble extension.
Potential Drawbacks:
At 32Ω, it’s a bit more "power-hungry" than the Cadenza II (18Ω), though still easily drivable by a phone. The main catch is the treble; if you are a "treble-head" looking for micro-detail and sparkle, the Belle might feel a bit too polite or "dark" in the upper registers.
